The woman on your pic - yeah, it gets attention because it is a pretty woman. It is human nature. And it is human nature that the less fortunate get jealous over it.

The image is trying to get attention in a basic way to bring their point across with the danger of that chocolate. And it worked on you, too, because now you posted this here. So either way, they have reached their goal.

Are you hating on women wearing lipstick also? They are selling sex pretty much, too.
I think it is a concern that women don't read more in to this because at the end of the day how the media protrays women effects:

- How much we earn compared to men.
- How women's issues are takening in to consideration when it comes to public policy developement
- How seriously sexual descrimination and harassment is taken seriously
- The perceieved value of women in society in general
- Who gets taken seriously vs who gets disrespected
- Who we see as a leader vs a subordinate
- Who we vote for and who we don't

Not sure why you are throwing weight in to this? That opens about a totally different area of discussion. As you have coin another huge topic that merits its own thread.

Sexually suggestive poses by women of any sizes, shape, race etc are what we are talking about.
It is not really about hating on anyone specifically.

Also that fact that someone would be as basic as to suggest it boiled down to jealously is comical and speaks volumes to intelect and insight on women's issues.

"Pretty" does not really equally sitting with you legs spread open in a bikini last time I checked lol?

Quite honestly, I would probably sit the same way, and would've never attached some kind of message to it. As a matter-of-fact, the last time I flew to San Diego, our flight was so packed, that I sat like a sardine for most of my flight. However, our flight from L.A. to San Diego didn't have that many people on it, and I took the opportunity to 'spread out' because I could. I guess I was womenspreading, but it was all about being comfortable (for once, that day) than making any kind of statement.

Google it - Marilyn Monroe spreading legs and you find wayyyyy worse public pics than the ones posted here. They are even borderline for me.
Dated attitudes like this " it is the same message (....so why change anything)" that are the problem.
These images and message have HUGE impacts on me and women in general.

As evidence by:

- the massive number of women with body image disorders
- the reality that STILL women usually make less then men holding the same employment positions in top jobs
- there are significantly less females in top positions in just about every industry

It is seriously sad that certain women just don't get it. They are happen to be suck at the bottom of barrel because that is just the way it has always been.

Seriously you need to watch this documentary for your own good.

In short of any women out there that thinks these things don't matter ... sorry, but your possible lack of self assertion and confidence in your actual skills, abilities, intellectual and self respect should not drag the rest of us down.

So you can keep your "shut up and take it" and "it is just the way it is" attitude as women like me are not having any of that and not interested in settling for 2nd best or 2nd place.

These attitudes hold women back from reaching their full potential all over the world.

If someone wants to be a 2nd class citizen go for it... but women with these attitudes and lack of self awareness need to stop dragging the rest of us down.

Yep, case in point - this comment. Oh, the irony.

There is NOTHING wrong with any of those three photos. But people in search of their next topic of outrage will find a camel toe even when none is present. As we say in Russia: "A swine will always find dirt." Think on that for a moment.

All my life I've had a tendency to sit with one ankle resting on the other knee (man-style) but never, ever, in a dress or skirt. I don't want others to have to see what's under them any more than I want to see what's under theirs - panties or no panties. I also sometimes sit backwards in a chair (man-style?) at a nightclub if it's more comfortable to prop up my arms awhile. But, again, when I'm wearing pants.

How I sit at certain times has never been an issue as far as I know.

But you sitting like that is not being done to be provocative and you are not doing it to sell something.

What I don't like is when women or girls are positioned in ads to mock sexual positions to sell something that is not directly linked to the product. I am coining this the look at my vagina pose.

What is the message? Hey forget about the benefits of the product ... I just need to show them my vagina to sell it?

Should flashing my sexual orgnas get me a better job or respect? In stead of using my words should I be show casing my vagina to get people's attenion?

If someone for whatever reason choose to sit that way for comfort out of habbit that is not really my beef. It is the use of soft porn images to sell no related products like food, medicaion, fitness equipment etc that annoys me.

I next to never see men displayed this way in ads. Ex positioned like they are about to have an orgasium or like a sex toy to sell ice cream, bubble gum etc.

I think she is saying that does not bother her, natural pose with legs spread. The others are more unnatural, meant to draw the eye to the crotch because of the angle/slightly forward thrust of the pelvis. I don't know of any women who sit like the girls in the bottom pictures but pretty sure tons of women do like the woman in the first photo. It's NOT just about the legs being spread.

wow, that is quite extreme. I am sorry you are so bitter. I am quite happy where I am in society.

BTW, the massive number of women with body image disorders - we never had to many obese people in history as currently. So despite pretty women/slim women showing the world they "need" to be slim to be pretty - obesity is still on the rise.

And the girl with the chocolate - doesn't even show her body. So no body image problem.

I am sorry if I drag you down with my lack of everything and you cannot reach your full potential in life because of people like me. But I am glad you found out whose fault it is. Now we just need to stop pretty women showing themselves and it will change the world.

I just noticed I am spreading in one of my pictures on my album here. You cannot see anything. Not even the slightest bit.
