I've run the gamut from never leaving the house without makeup to not wearing any at all. For the past few years, it was mostly not wearing anything at all, but I've recently found some new brow make up and eyeliner pencil that do an amazing job of staying on all day long looking great, so now I make the effort to put at least both of those on every day.
I don't, only wear at special events, but I am trying to get myself to wear more. Especially now that I got laser eye surgery, I feel the need to use under eye concealer atleast to cover the bags. Before I never notice them. Also after I turned 30, I started noticing lot more spots & less glow in my skin. So I am slowly starting
I never wore makeup except for very special occasions. Now I do when I'm going to be on film. I JUST learned how to do makeup all over again from a much younger friend, and it's MUCH easier than it was. BB cream and natural colors really are a long way from the days of heavy foundation and rainbow eyeshadow of my youth. The way I do it now, you can't tell I'm wearing makeup but I just look more polished.
I am lazy so maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I look OK considering that I am old. I never wore makeup a lot but since I have become older, even products designed for old bags, seem to just make the wrinkles more obvious.
I do not wear makeup often due to laziness. I might put on lipstick or lip gloss. Sometimes I'll put kn blush when going out. For fancy events I'll put on a full face. Day tomday I am bare faced.
It has a lot to do with the fact that as a teen etc there were not foundation options for me. Particularly in the small metro I soent my teen years in. My skin was pretty good so it wasn't a big deal. I have had some periods when my skin wasn't very even, so I started shopping for makeup. I got some but didn't it on often.
Over the past couple of years I have focused on evening out my skin tone (I blemish very easily). It has worked well and my skin is just about as good as my 16 year old self at 39. Good enough for me.
You took the words out of my mouth. To add, last year I finally found a foundation that is perfect for my skin type and tone from MAC after all these years.
I was so excited to find it I wore it at least 3 days a week for 6 months. Now, I'm back to the basics. Sometimes I wear a matte primer or powder because I have oily skin but other than that, I keep it simple.
I used to wear makeup and enjoyed it. The experimenting, the choosing of it, the reading about it...all fun.
Then I got a disfiguring eye disease and ditched my contacts. Can't wear make up on my "funny" eyes.
Then it became less fun. I do use foundation occasionally - usually for a date or an evening out. I will powder if I look greasy. I do love lip gloss though, always have that.
Generally, wear like 7% of the time and no eye makeup ever. I could use light foundation more, I am a bit ruddy with my fair skin.
Rarely. Like once or twice a year I'll put on some eyeliner, mascara and lip colour.
In my late teens/early 20s I started experimenting and wearing lots, but it just made my skin break out. No matter how "hypoallergenic" the brand claimed it was.
I usually wear none unless it's a special occasion. Lipstick is the most I'll use. for special occasions, I do the whole enchilada. I like bb creams for my face.
