I started a thread in the "house" section about products people would recommend for their homes. It has been a fun thread with lots of good ideas although my want list has gotten very long.
Anyway what products would you recommend for ourselves?
I just got a vented boar and nylon brush. I have very frizzy and dry hair. I have tried so many products over the years that just don't work. The idea of a boar head brush is to distribute your natural oils from your scalp and through the hair. I tried a regular boars head one before but it didn't feel like it "brushed" my hair as it glided over it.
This one because it is a combo of boar and nylon bristles is great. I also love that it is a vented brush. I have used it for 2 weeks so far and even in mid 80's weather and humidity my hair is pretty smooth.
There's really not many beauty products that I feel like I'm married to, you know what I mean? Except 1. I use Revlon Colorstay foundation, and I have for years. I like it because it stays on my face, and doesn't slide off or rub off (much). Except in the highest humidity.
I've tried other brands before, but I always come back to ColorStay.
Many will scoff at the price, but the Clairsonic Mia 1 cleansing brush is the best beauty purchase I've made in a long long time. I've been using it less than a month, and I can definitely see an improvement in my skin tone.
I'm a lifelong fan of Clinique's Black Honey Almost Lipstick. It feels good on--not sticky or heavy--and the color is great on a lot of different skin tones.
My Chi flat iron is the only thing that has ever tamed my frizzy, curly hair.
I also love my flat iron but only use it for special occasions. I worry about using so much heat on my dry hair.

My aunt gave me an electric or battery operated(I can't remember now) when I was a teen. I thought it was an odd gift until I used it on my face. It was great.
This stuff is great. It helps curls and straight styles stay longer, soft, shine, less frizz, and smells good. With the constant blow-drying, straightening and curling, it helps protect from damage.
Also Maybelline Great Lash. I've been wearing it a long time. I've tried many mascaras and this one is my favorite.

I did a lot of research, and came across a lot of reviews that basically said that the less expensive brands do fine, but the results are better with the Clarisonic. I figured since I could afford it, I might as well make the investment.
