I admit that as a taller than average woman, I never cared for pants that exposed ankles unless they are capris. I remember wearing ankle length pants as a child (because they didn't make pants that were long enough for tall kids) and was mercilessly ridiculed by some of my fellow classmates.

It's always been a challenge finding pants that go past the ankle and now even more so.
I like them with flats, and only if they are very tapered. I am also taller than average and while I don't gave any sort of "floods" flash back, I only have one pair of jeans that are ankle length and tapered. I do have several pairs in other materials.

My foot is a 10.5/11 and when I wear snug pants they look like clown feet! And my daughter inherited my skinny big feet too!

Explain what?
Models look good in these ankle pants because they are models and have proportions allowing them to wear basically anything. Also, because some designers work on their looks.
I don't know why I need 34-35" inseam, maybe I'm incorrectly built
Or, they sew 38" pants for models and then 30" for regular people and call it "standard."
