Anything longer than arse-length is too restrictive for winter sports, walking, driving, etc.
I have a very warm Columbia parka, a Carhatt outdoors work coat, and a lined work shirt jacket for wearing in the shop when it's cold or working on the car
One down filled (winter & for travel to colder climes)
One light-weight car car coat (spring & fall)
numerous jackets that I wear with pants to church, out, etc.
3 or 4 cardigans
1 pashmina
2 fur coats
2 down coats
1 warm winter coat
1 camel
2 demi coats I need to lose weight for
1 long trench
2 knee-length trenches
maybe something else I grew out of and don't remember
One. I live in the south. The one I have, bought it right before this past winter. Good thing too because it was brutally cold for the south.
