I second Ebay! Find out how many ounces of gold it is and list it. You can do an aution or a "Buy it Now" price.
But if you take it locally to a 'coin' dealer you'll get close to whatever the market is that day without the hassle.
Ebay buyers seldom pay more than spot.
whatever amount of money you get, when you sell it and all the grief that it held inside..... turn the bad into good and donate your small windfall to a veterans organization like Lifeline for Veterans...... that way all will not be for naught and you will help a homeless veteran

After my divorce, I met a lady who was also divorced, and we both had our wedding rings melted down and made into a necklace for each other. It was sort of a way of freeing ourselves and solidifying our new relationship.
Years later, when I broke up with her, I hocked my necklace.
Find someone who makes custom coins or does jewelry. Have it made into something new. A coin thats made of actual gold is pretty cool, and would make a great gift for someone.
The only value it has is the gold. Most people look at used wedding rings as being cursed, rightly or wrongly, unless its a family item from a successful marriage where one or both of the people died while married.
Take my word for it: You won’t get as much for it as you’d like. I’m in the retail jewelry business.
However, there are artisans who will take old gold rings and hammer them into something beautiful you can wear. Not only do you get a great new piece of jewelry, it’s symbolic of moving forward into a wonderful new life.
You won't really get anything out of it. You could re-sell it on ebay or local resale group, that's what I always suggest.
Did you get it from somewhere that has a lifetime repair warranty? That will help if you sell it a little easier because the sizing, polishing and buffing out of the date would probably all be free. If not, they will have to pay and that can add up. Just something to consider with pricing
You could have it made into something else, sure. It depends if you want to put more money into it/ if it's worth it to you.

Oh come on. She can suggest. She can make aware. CTFD
