Well she chose to sell the brand, to spend time raising her daughter. She and her husband have been working on other projects. She changed her last name to Valentine-Spade after her accessories brand Frances Valentine, named after daughter Frances.
My first pair of designer glasses I got were Kate Spade. In fact, I am on my 3rd pair (not her brand) since then and refuse to give them up, I like them so much still......
