I used to be able to get Tretinoin, or Retin-A from Canada, but the USA has almost stopped that. Does anyone know where I can purchase it in Canada? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you,
That study showed that in smokers, the death rates increased. In non smokers there was no effect. Also this was done on people over 70 and the study was discontinued. You can get Tretinoin as a rx from your doctor, just ask. If you are around 40, insurance can cover it for adult acne. Doctors don't usually hesitate to prescribe it (they are probably thrilled you aren't asking for an opioid or something). Anti aging creams are common requests. If your insurance does not cover the rx you can google for prescription discounts on the internet and get up to half off per tube.
Also, there are 2 tretinoins.. one with the emollient in it and one without. The one with the emollient is several times the cost of the one without it. It's smoother and nicer to use but not worth all the extra $$s to me but frequently you have to make sure when you're pricing it out at pharmacies that you tell them it is the one WITHOUT the emollient. I've run into a few pharmacies that didn't even know until I explained it to them and they had to hunt their inventory further.
(and you may already know all this.. but.. just in case)
