I am on a quest to find the warmest, coziest slippers this fall/winter. I prefer the type that are meant to be worn indoors only. My feet get soooo cold. Any suggestions appreciated!
I wear thick winter socks AND slippers. The warmest slippers I've had were cheapos I got at WalMart for $5 (they don't have them, any more). They were fuzzy and came up to my ankles. They were booties. I'm glad I got 2 pair, so that I still have one left.
Second best: Deerfoam booties. I also wear socks w/those.
Get slippers that are booties and have a good foam base for the foot, as protection from the cold floor.
OP, do you wear wool socks under your slippers, or just something thick with no wool content?
I had cold feet forever until I learned that all socks are not equal. I pull out my wool socks as soon as the weather turns colder and LOVE that my feet don't get cold any more.
Yes, warm slippers definitely help, but wearing wool socks under your slippers give you that much more warmth.
If you like the funky colours, these ones look decent with very good reviews and 35% wool:
I just ordered myself these ones because my supply of wool socks are starting to run low and I wanted something thin to wear in my shoes when I'm out and about. (good ratings and wool content also) I could care less if they say these are men's socks.
I have found the UGGS to be the warmest and have the most support and traction. Although I keep them at the door and wear them in the house, there is enough of a "sole" that I could walk down the driveway to the mailbox or out in the backyard to snip some basil or flowers.
I love Acorn brand slippers. They are good quality and come in attractive styles. Although, like many things, I think the quality has slipped some in the last decades. They are warm and cozy and last a long time.
I had never heard of this brand until you mentioned it. I did go look at their website - looks like a good choice. One thing I found really bizarre is when I looked at the Women's Jam Tassel Boot Slippers. Those slippers had 22 reviews and most of them were 5 star reviews. On further examination, I noticed that every single review mentioned that the reviewer had received them for free. All 22 of the people who wrote reviews had this mentioned - "Reviewer received a free sample of this product."
Then I decided to look at the reviews on their other slippers. Same thing! All the people who wrote reviews had gotten a free sample of the product.

This is a good point. I do wear socks in my slippers simply because I like to protect the interior of my slippers. But I don't have wool socks... I think I will get some this year. Thanks!
I wear Ugg slippers. I love them, but can't say they are the warmest as I haven't shopped around. I also really love their fleece lined socks in the winter and wear those probably more than the slippers. https://www.ugg.com/women-socks/pom-...id=women-socks
