I love 3/4 or bracelet sleeves. Pockets I am mixed about. I love pockets but I fund that they have really cheaped out these days when they make them.

On many dresses they land in the worst possible place for me and don’t stay smooth.

Other pockets are made of terrible fabric tbat your keys might cause a hole. And then don’t get me started on the poorly positioned pockets where you get poked with your stuff when sitting or your stuff falls out.

I want well executed pockets that have sturdy fabric that stayes in olace, holds your stuff and doesn’t get in the way.

Me too.

And true about the sewn shut pocket...I've seen many women complain about it but then I suggest it could be a sewn pocket...some have never even heard of it. Then again, it's usually in more expensive pNts.

I don't love pockets in pants especially some dress pants...looks like you have 57 lumps everywhere.

GRRR....

I ended up buying 2 women's shirts that actually had long sleeves, 2 men's shirts (long sleeves) and 1 pair of dress pants with real (but small) pockets in the front.

Whomever came up with the false pockets needs to be cast into Dante's 9th circle and whomever came up with the 3/4 sleeves needs to be tossed into a new and more horrific 10th circle
Agreed. Not a fan of either.

I like 3/4 sleeves. Its nice not to have to to take the time to unbutton my cuffs and roll up my sleeves to do something like wash my hands. Even if someone doesn't like them, Im not sure why they would hate them.

The fake pockets get me. I have a few pair of pants that went through the trouble of sewing practically a whole pair of button down flap pockets that can be unbuttoned on the back of those pants but seemed to cut off the actual pocket on the inside. What the heck? Did we increase our profit by a couple pennies that way while churning out an inferior product?? Fake front pockets are not quite as stupid, because they don't require as much skill to produce, but are still stupid nonetheless.

I like pockets too. Who wants to walk around with a bag hanging off their body all the time?

What is the point of pockets sewn shut? I bought a couple of pairs of pants last year, and had to take a seam ripper to open up the pockets.

Womens' Levis all seem to have the short front pockets now.

Depending on the fabric of the pants, I sew 'em up and cut 'em off neatly. You won't find your pants coming out of the dryer with 'stuff' you forgot to remove what turned into wet cardboard or worse. Much easier to iron also. Yes I iron. Why would anyone want to add another inch or so to her hips. I love 3/4 length sleeves on the knitted tops, very practical.

Your profile says you live in Erie, PA. There are lots of stores there including Macy's, where they sell plenty of long sleeved women's shirts. Here's a link where they have 58 pages of women's tops - most of them have long sleeves.

I happen to love 3/4 length sleeves, but I have no problems finding long sleeves. I can't even imagine where you shop, that you can't find them and ended up buying men's.

It's so they keep a crisp sharp look while in the store and being tried on multiple times.

There have been times when I've seen people with the flaps of their coats still tacked shut and I always wonder if it's polite to tell them that they can cut that thread.

Count me in as a fan of 3/4 sleeves, too. Like everyone's said, they're versatile, and it's easier for me to avoid having sleeves that are too long (on a regular garment) or too short (on a petite one.)

I don't hate 3/4 sleeves but they rarely work for me. I usually buy mens shirts since womens blouses rarely fit. Theyre usually too short. And if they have darts theyre in the wrong places. Not a good look when the boob darts and the pockets are up around my ears.

I don't care for fake pockets either. Better that than no pockets though. At least with the shallow ones you can enlarge them. I cut them off and either iron on or sew on a regular size pocket. You can make your own but Im lazy so I just buy them at Joann Fabric.
