As a vertically challenged woman I preferred the boot cut jeans with a pair of heels. They make me look taller and if a person is overweight skinny jeans should be against the law.

Wish I still had the figure I had in my teens and 20s - I used to love those very low cut (barely covering your girl parts) button front bell bottoms. Wore them with shirts tied at my waist and with Famolare platforms. Boy did I think I was a hottie lol.

I like both boot cut jeans and skinny jeans, depending on the top and shoes I'm pairing with them. Fit and styled correctly they both look great. And that goes for all women and men of all sizes.

Those models look sick. As in they need to be hooked up to an IV in the ICU sick.

*shudder* Not attractive at all

And please get rid of the skinny jeans look for men. It's ridiculous. I think of the Steve Carrel character from the movies with the minions. It's cartooney and stupid.

I am DAMN GLAD to read that it's coming back! I've been having a hard time trying to find jeans that aren't 'skinnies'.

And boot-cuts do not have to look sloppy. The photos in that article are obviously from someone hell-bent on making the wearers look like slobs. I don't wear mine like that.

Bootcut jeans have always been available. Look online at department stores and catalog vendors. Bellbottoms/flared jeans have bene available for several years, also, though until recently, you had to search them out. Or they were only available in expensive brands.

I don't buy clothes on-line, though. I'm picky about the fit in pants so I try on everything before I buy them. Am also too lazy to send things back.

But a few days ago I thought of a farm supply store that sells a lot of clothes and I'd bet they sell boot-cuts. I'm going to check them out soon.

LOL. Reminds me of the 1970s pantsuits with tunics. They usually had flared or bell bottom pants. At the time they seemed pretty cool. They were pretty slenderizing, for sure.
