Could anyone give examples of once-dead brands that are now making a comeback?

I think the best example is Tommy Hilfiger. Once a dead brand is now the fastest growing brand for PVH.

A lesser example is IZOD, which has seen its ups and downs. The most recent downturn was around 2014-2015, but has been gaining popularity again since 2016.

Patrick Ewing.

I'm really digging my new "33" high-tops that just came a couple weeks ago! Just like I had circa 1992 or so.

I wouldn't say any of these brands were dead, just in eclipse for a while. I was always a fan of Tommy Hilfiger, so I'd be happy to see it come back. I'd love to buy some Tommy Hilfiger shirts and pants.

One brand that I wonder if it will make a comeback is Nautica. VF recently sold them to Authentic Brands Group, a company known to try to put new life into faded brands. With the strength of Polo Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger and IZOD making a comeback, there is a lot of competition in the market.

Interestingly, the brand seems somewhat popular in Puerto Rico.

It hasn't been that recently, but Converse shoes (the All Stars in particular) seemed very popular a few decades ago, but then faded into partial obscurity until just a few (5 +/-?) years ago.

Absolutely. It's been a few years since the Converse All Stars came back, after disappearing for at least a couple of decades.

This has been happening with retro sneakers in general. I saw a pair of PF Flyers earlier this year, a brand that I wore as a kid that hadn't been around in at least a couple of decades.

Though they never fully disappeared, the retro Puma Suede/Clyde/Basket and the Adidas Superstar have also made a comeback. I have pairs of all of them now, after not having seen them for about 20 years.

Swatch

I recall buying one at Belk's in 1980s and was surprised to see that the brand is alive and thriving.
