They don't place the pigment (not ink) while the cream is still on the skin. The numbing cream is applied and allowed to sit for 20-30 minutes. Then it is wiped away completely and the skin is left numb.

She did let me sit with it for quite some time after applying cream. Skin was not numb.

Well, I am almost glad I felt everything. Because it made me realize how intrusive it really is. I will never do it again. Off my bucket list - on to the next

During the procedure when I was in pain she kept adding cream.

I saw her certifications, everything was sterile, great online reviews. Yes, I know business owners can remove bad reviews but I saw she had two bad reviews and left them there (it was just about scheduling) so I thought she hasn't figure out how to remove bad reviews.

She took her time with measuring and drawing on me and with a string, i was there for two hours.
All I can tell you is that I got the tattooing and I had numbing cream applied about 30 minutes before and then again half way through. Yes, things got a little - A LITTLE - uncomfortable but never approached a level that I couldn't tolerate easily. I would classify the whole experience as mildly uncomfortable.

The ink "took" fine.

In my experience, there was no dye or vaseline involved (not like in that video anyway - the only dye was in the needle).
