I bought bobi brown gel eyeliner which is supposed to be the best out there. However, it's all dried out and cakey. It comes in a little pot and you have to apply it with a separate brush. has anyone else used this and what am I doing wrong. It was expensive so I owuld hagte to just throw it away.
Also, the gel is smooth and creamy at first, but once you break the surface of it you will need to dab your brush in water before dipping it in the tub so it can continue to go on smoothly.

For those who love this product, but think it gets a little dry: store it upside down!! My Bobbi Brown consultant said the moisture settles toward the bottom of the pot after a while. The simple fix of storing it upside down (lid tightly closed, of course) keeps the moisture at the surface where you need it.

Maybe because the drug store gel liners I have tried before seemed so dry and flaky.
My daughter bought it, hated it.
It wouldnt stay on.
Ohh! I exclusively use Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners now, but the Maybelline is less than half the price and that blog said it was really good.
It's cheap, I'll try it anyway . I think I've tried every gel eyeliner except for drugstore brands. Actually no I tried a Revlon, maybe Loreal, one...terrible.
Stila's is crap btw too, not pigmented enough and dries up in like a month!
Bobbi Brown eyeliner is the only one that stays on. Maybe it's the brush I'm using? Thanks for the replies keep them coming.
WARNING:
I was looking on ebay for mac's fluidline eyeliner. Well this stuff is not cheap. It retails for 40.00+ so when I found when on ebay for 26.00 with a brush I bought it. Then I started wondering why they would include and expensive mac brush and realized that it was a FAKE. I emailed the seller and asked her to retract my purcahse because I didn't feel the item was authentic. She didn't even argue with me and cancelled the transaction so I guess I was right. Do you think it's worth reporting her?

Could be, I would invest in a good brush, you just cant beat good ones.
