I saw a woman in her mid 50s who had great legs with a short skirt. She looked healthy and happy. She walked confidently. Btw, I am female and think you should wear whatever is comfortable.
I am 45 yet admittedly wear shorter things. Since I was a cheer leader in high school I do spend a lot of time exercising and working out. My boyfriend is 33 and has said he likes it when I wear mini skirts. Do you think I am in the wrong?
Depends on what you look like. I have seen women into their 50's who are hot enough to pull of sexy clothing, and I have seen women in their 20's who look like a sack of potatoes in the same clothes.
If you are as you describe yourself, you are probably fine, and 40 isn't all that old.
