Me too. They make returns so easy. And as soon as the return label is scanned by UPS, you get your refund.

I buy almost all my shoes from Zappos.

Is this a one day trip where you are bringing no luggage? If you are going to have any luggage, I would just pack comfortable shoes to change into.

But if it needs to be a single pair of shoes, I'd go with a wedge as the best compromise between something dressy enough for a meeting but still comfortable enough to wear during the actual travel.

Flats are just fine for a business meeting.

Yeah this is 2019. People wear flats for business all the time now. I can’t see wearing anything but flats in an airport now. Depending on the airport, some require quite a bit of walking.

I highly recommend the Cobb Hill line by Rockport. I own several pairs of the Angelina in dift colors. I also like the Aubrey, but it's more of a sandal. I own several of their boots as well. They are comfortable and supportive but don't scream "orthotic shoe" like some brands do.

Black walking shoes to slip on and off. I've actually seen upper level managers wearing black walking sneakers with a suit, so I think practically anything comfortable is acceptable if it's black. Maybe something like a loafer (not sure what they are called in women's shoes.)

Define a lot of walking?

I have shoes from Ecco, Daniela Lehavi, Lax Shoes, Aquatalia, and Sevilla Smith that meet my bar for walking a few miles (I had a walking commute for a while)

I have other shoes that I wouldn’t use to walk 2 miles at once, but hold up fine for the office and the airport from M. Gemi, Rag and Bone and other brands.

Generally speaking, I love pointy flats and oxfords for nicer work shoes. Also ankle booties.

I happen to have this in my online shopping cart at DSW!

Overnight travel - then to business meeting and straight to the airport.
It's not the distance so much as I'm older with challenged feet. Have a wider foot with elf toes (think both big toes pointing up) so closed toe shoes especially pointy ones usually don't work for me. I wish I could find a VERY comfortable low heel peep-toe pump but am striking out.
