I'm another one with long arms and prefer 3/4 sleeves because they fit better. They also cut the arm in half visually so it can trick the eye and make it seem like the arms aren't as long. It's also why my very tall husband rolls his long sleeves up on his shirts to make them 3/4.

Don't like or buy 3/4 sleeve blouses. They just don't look right to me or on me.
Garment industry cutting back: it's all about the money.

I wear a lot of V-neck 3/4 sleeve tee tops. They hide my upper arms and I don’t freeze in the A/C. My arms are short and the sleeves on most long sleeve tops are too long.

They aren't, though.

I've seen them on tops from Forever 21, Altar'd States, and other stores for young women.

I love 'em. I have short arms, so a lot of long sleeves hang over my hands and look sloppy. 3/4 can land anywhere from elbow to wrist and look good.

This is just what I was searching for- y’all have made me re-think my opinion completely and not be bothered by 3/4.
Thank you all! Life will be easier now Lol

I find that irritating.
Hot flashes --- that's why I love 3/4 sleeves. Long sleeves make me feel wrapped up with no way out! So yes, they are better for a mature woman.
And I do fit in the petite category, so long sleeves are just too long.

Being from the Phoenix area, where the late fall and winters are pleasant, 3/4 sleeves work great here all the way into early spring. They work well in an office environment in the summer, when the air conditioning can be too cold. I really like them and have a variety. Almost all of mine are cotton pull-over types, not an overly dressy type and can be worn with both skirts and pants.

I am used to having long sleeves hit my arm above the wrist, but sometimes, the sleeves are two or three inches too short.

I am seeing more elbow length sleeved now. I like them. I hope they become established as something easily found and an option for those of us who don’t wear sleeveless anymore.
If that were true, wouldn't every bathing suit be a bikini?
I have a couple of the 3/4, but not especially thrilled when I go to the stores and see numerous racks with 3/4 length sleeves and nothing of similar style in other lengths.

Reminded me of the time I saw a t-shirt that my husband would like. I looked all over for it in his size. Came to find out from one of the store employees that the shirt design is only made for the Big/Tall guys. Seriously?

I sometimes see a cute 2 piece top/bottom as I stroll the main aisle of the department store. It was in the Petites. I really liked how the colors were blended but couldn't find anything similar in the Miss's/Regulars
Either way, guess it saved me some $$$. Otherwise, the store would have had my $$$.
