There are alot of "foot graters"--almost any drug store carries them. This one keeps the dead skin enclosed until you empty it ( or shake it!). Whatever you use, moisterize after you use it! Don't scrape until it hurts!
I've found that an emory board made especially for feet works really well, without the ability to take "too much" of the calluse off your feet!

HDL - IMO they both work the same way, so if you don't want to plop the extra bucks right away, $10 at Walgreens should work for you. When the blades dull and you are sure you want to "upgrade", then by all means do so. The "platinum" I think just looks better as a platinum colored shell. The white plastic does the job. Just make sure you don't tip it on its side or upside down while using it as the shavings fall out of through the grater.

My husband just purchased this for me last night. I must honestly say I LOVE IT!!!!! It easily shaved off tough callouses from my heels. I was amazed and quite impressed.

I have always just used disposable razors, lotion and pumice stones. How does it compare to that method would you say?

It comes in a very compact "egg" shape that is very easy to hold and manage. There are multiple small razer blades, and the dead skin is collected. But if disposable razors, lotion & pumice stones work for you, no need to spend the money. KWIM?

How often do you use it? Pumice works for me but I don't remember to do it enough to remove my calluses.

Hi everyoneI bought one from Walmart yesterday and I am so pleased. I have cute feet so hard ashy heels are not going to compliment them. Remember that if you have let your feet turn into bricks, then you should press firmer on hard, dry white areas. It won't make ugly feet cute. It just removes dead skin so that you can wear sandals and not be afraid to let your loved one feel your feet. It only took ONE use and I swear it works. You must follow the directions and don't be timid with it. LOL

Funny I ran across this thread as I just picked up one today. My mom was raving about how much she loves her and since I can no longer afford my bi-weekly pedicures, I decided I try this. I have rough feet...I mean rough. My husband always jokes about how I cut the sheets up. LOL. My mom uses her right after she takes a bath. The skin is still soft but dry enough to get some cells off.

For those not getting anything off thier feet, sounds like you have pretty smooth skin. I know my husband wouldn't get much off b/c he's feet are already smooth.
