It’s totally fashionable to show skin & wear revealing dresses on a special night out....but I’m kinda worrying I shouldn’t for a party at the house of my Bf’s boss. Bf says he has seen revealing dresses at other parties like it & won’t be any problem...I’d fit right in. I know it’s not work stuff for him....but....still a little hesitant tho. I definitely want to be myself too....but it’s the first time I am meeting his work friends.........so I’m torn....

I say if you’re hesitant and feel uncomfortable in the dress then don’t wear it. You’ll be self-conscious the whole night, wondering if you are showing too much or if others are thinking you’re showing too much.

Wear what you’re comfortable in so you can enjoy the evening with your guy and his friends.

always better to be too covered up than too naked if you're not sure

Better to err on the side of caution, especially if it involves work in ANY way, unless you're a free spirit who doesn't care what other people think.

If you're at all concerned, which you are, you shouldn't wear it.

It's still a work-related function, being at the boss's home, and unless the workplace is a strip club, "revealing" should never factor into consideration.

Can you not "be yourself" without showing skin???

Heh. My own mother used to say, "if you're not selling, don't advertise."
