I was wondering, are there any clothes you haven't worn in a while you are thinking about wearing again? The "stuck in the rut" thread reminded me about this.

It seems like the past year I have been mostly wearing my Spring 2016-present clothes. Recently I wore two Nautica shirts (a polo and a button-down) I haven't worn in a while. I am also thinking when the weather gets warmer to wear a Ralph Lauren button-down that I have. I also have some IZOD button-down shirts (both long and short sleeved) from Spring 2015 I haven't worn in a while that I might wear again.

Yes, I donated them at the time because I wasn't wearing them. Now I wish I had them back. "Everything old is new again."

I keep my clothes till they're no longer wearable (worn spots, stains or tears that can't be repaired). Occasionally I do resurrect something I haven't worn for a few years. It keeps my wardrobe fresh and keeps my clothing costs down.

I want to start wearing my early-70's leather fringed jacket again but I think I need to drop another 20 lbs first.

One of the reason I have hard time throwing clothes out is because every other year I find things I hated to fit perfectly again. So every year I take out my entire winter or summer clothes & try them on and select hand full to wear that season and repeat again 3 months later.

OP, you must have a lot of clothing if this is an issue worth considering. Even as a woman, I have just enough clothing to get me through a week or so without doing laundry.

If I find I'm not wearing some pieces, I usually donate them....I've even donated new items cause I just never wore them. But I love some of the retro styles....

Forever ago skinny jeans that had a zipper going up the back a few inches in the ankle area were in style. I do not own a pair at this point in time but I would like to. (The ones with just the zipper. Not the tacky white trash looking ones that had bows on top of the zipper)
