With guys going around with Ubangi ears and tongues split like a snake's and tattoos everywhere visible and not visible, I think large hoop earrings are going to be practically conservative.

Because he WOULD. In my opinion, the earring he described would absolutely look gay on a man. Period.

OP asked what others thought. I answered.

Your opinion is YOURS. Mine, is MINE.

See how that works?

I don’t give a rats patooty if a person is gay, but I would never EVER want to date someone that looked or dressed gay. That isn’t “being judgy”. It’s called PERSONAL PREFERENCE. Learn the difference.

It's how people say things that's the difference tho. I don't like it either...but I wouldn't say it "looks gay". I am attracted to a professional looking man or a rougher manly casual look.......anyways......we both are ita O.P. should do what he wants.........shrugs.........

Actually, come to think about it, wearing large earring by a man apparently was fashionable.
Circa 14th-16th century. It is still same way in some tribal areas.

I would worry about them getting ripped out in a fight......first thing an opponent would go for. And it looks gay. IMO.
