I like the features of a smart watch, but the thought of recharging it every two to three days puts me off getting one.

I just drop mine on the charger when I take it off at night.

Oh wow, some of them actually look like watches are pretty nice... I can't argue with that!

Can anyone else relate?
What does this even mean? "Good people", "think highly of them"? How does that relate to wearing a watch?

I guess it's hard to explain. I mean that I have nothing against the kind of people I see wearing them. It's better than a person who doesn't wear a watch at all because he's basically a bum who doesn't care about fitting into society, to give an extreme example. Although the smartphone has already replaced the wristwatch for many people in that regard.

I just don't like the company taking metrics of me

these are useful products especially when they start getting into healthcare monitoring your vitals and telling you if you are at homeostatis or measuring inflamation.

I just don't like or trust the watch or phone sending the metrics back.

I'm totally lost.

I looked this up. It looks complicated. The literature says, they're trying to simplify it. I can wait. Thanks, though.

I can't remember the last time I wore a watch: decades. Never had any trouble "fitting into society", or being on time for meetings.
