Well that, I completely disagree with. “Retaining youthful physical attributes” also covers staying fit, in shape, looking your best. Quite frankly, there is NOTHING wrong with that, and in fact, it’s much preferable than “letting yourself go”.

As far as cosmetics go, there are very few (if any) that reverse or stop the aging process. However there are endless products that do help to improve one’s appearance. What might be considered an “ improvement” is, of course, open to interpretation. The great majority of people prefer to do what they can to lessen the effects of aging, even if it is only by using cosmetics. What is “folly”, in my view, is spending hard earned money on products that do not do what they claim.

There is also lip injections.....but the O.P. said she was older & wasn't interested...........so an easy to use & apply one step product is probably the best for her. Techniques involve shading & pencils before lipstick for a more dramatic full look....& they probably aren't right for an older woman that said she wanted something "clear".......

Yes, I love watching the youtube tutorials and also the before and afters, it is sometimes amazing how a few good cosmetics can highlight a person's best features. Sometimes I wake up in the morning blah and I look in the mirror blah, but applying just the right lipstick and I am good to go. The right lipstick brightens your complexion and makes you look put together.
