The issue of sustainability even in beauty products.

This Is the Cost of Your Beauty Routine
Here’s how you can create a more sustainable one.

“We’re taught in school to recycle, but it’s focused more in the kitchen than in the bathroom, so it doesn’t seem as important.”
The single-use phenomenon is a fairly recent development, Ms. Williams added. And, she said, “it’s happening without anybody realizing how much these items are taking over.”

I read the article more than half way through. I'm suspicious. It seems like an advertisement disguised as a news article.

As I've tried to be more mindful of what I'm buying, and trying to cut back on single use plastics, I have noticed how there's practically no sustainable way to buy makeup and skincare. It's all packaged in a bunch of little tubs and tubes and pumps and compacts that can't be reused or recycled.
