Same here- always had oily skin, never use creams/lotions, no smoking but did love the sun! I am 70 and still have very few wrinkles - just light character lines. Fancy creams do nothing and are full of junk as you say. You must hydrate from the inside, eat a good diet and get enough exercise and sleep. After that it's just genetics.

Since none of them actually does anything anyway, it's up to you when you want to start spending your money.

Stay out of the sun, don't smoke, maintain good physical fitness, drink moderately or not at all. Those are the things that actually work. Lotions and potions, nope.

I think starting in your early 30's is a good idea. Exfoliate with retinol and/or glycolic acid, use a hydrating mask, drink lots of water, eat your veggies, limit sugar, use sunscreen, try not to squint, get at least 8 hours of sleep, you should be good.

I've been using Jojoba and Argan oil to moisturize the last few years. My skin gets pretty dry and I feel like the oils are as natural as it can get for moisturizers. I also like the glow it gives me. Sometimes I'll add Neutrogena anti-wrinkle night cream and I recently added a serum. I'm still on the fence about using eye creams. I prefer to keep my routine simple. I only wash my face once at night in the shower. I also take collagen, fish oil, and probiotic supplements. Still in my early 30s so I don't know how my routine will fare. Will keep yall posted in 30 years.

I started in my 20's & have used Clinque for over 30 yrs. I never went in the sun, so that is half of not getting wrinkles of sun spots. Clinque's skin care is unsurpassed for my face. I am so allergic to many others from drug store brands to $$$! But if you become allergic or sensitive take them back to the store with your receipt.

Before any lines show up. I was into my 40s before I noticed anything and started then. I wish I had started in my 30s.

The best anti-aging care you can give your face is SPF 30+ every single day (and no, SPF in makeup doesn't count) and moisturizing. The best time to start was a teenager, second best time is now.

I started adding toner and some actives in my mid to late 20s. I started with retinoids at 30.
