You know, there are women over the age of 28 in the world. Most of 'em do not prefer beards, in my experience (admittedly limited).

My wife has said she will divorce me if I ever shave my beard. I think she's kidding....

Ick. I'm not really afraid of parasites, but beards are teeming with bacteria, food debris, and other yuckiness. Not a fan. At all. I like the look of a few days of stubble, but it's super scratchy, so it's more attractive from at least a few inches away.

I've always liked a neatly shaped/cropped beard. I'm not crazy about just long, full faced beards. My husband always had a beard (and a ponytail) and I really liked it when he took the time to keep it trimmed and shaped but he always let it get more full in the winter.

He did 10 yrs in the army and only shaved his beard off once (for 1 day) since then (about 40 yrs) and he looked funny to me without it. But he could grow back a full beard in 3 days (I think he was shaving at 13). He was salt and pepper and I thought it looked so dashing!
I have several nephews with beards but every one of them has the long, bushy type.

It's a preference thing, I rarely ever hear a woman publically comment they like the stache or beard.

I don't understand the parasite fear.

If he showers, the beard showers with him? Yes, maybe stuff gets caught in it throughout the day but wouldn't that be washed out daily in the shower?

Help me understand.

Women, in general, are indecisive. Ask the same women next week and you'll get a different answer.

I have no idea how legit that study was...I simply included it as an example. Either way, I'm kidding...sort of...well, not really.

Although a small sample size (my household), my wife prefers to do ANYTHING instead of making a decision. I've never met a more indecisive, wishy-washy person in my life. She has other very positive qualities...decision-making is not amongst them.

Negative. Men want to believe women prefer beards because they are too lazy to shave but most women do not like a full beard. Do men want women with hairy legs and armpits? Hell no. Think of it that way but way worse because men are kissing women's lips and, um, other places with that gorilla face.

Men with weak chins tend to hide that under a beard. And they do look better-looking with a beard. Keeping it relatively trimmed is key.
