What’s the general consensus on Converse in 2020?

Still stylish, still comfortable (to me), and easily crosses all kinds of style borders. You can wear them with suits, dresses, shorts, jeans, chinos, etc.

Can't go wrong with a classic.

They're a classic, but I have high arches and they hurt my feet.

They are a lot more expensive then when I use to wear them around 1970 ($9.99 in the 1970s). The last time I wore a pair, I couldn't believe they were the most popular basketball shoes back then. I now find them to be very uncomfortable compared to today's basketball shoes. They seem to be very popular with today's high school girls, however.

I wear them. I work out in them and wear them in jeans if it’s too cold for flip flops.

Same here. I haven't worn them comfortably since 1985.

I've never worn them, but I can't help but wonder if they may do damage to the feet.

Me, too, they're so FLAT. Otherwise, I think they're cool and would wear them if I could. I like the high tops; they feel good on your ankles, supportive.

Same here, can't believe we all played hoops in those things, absolutely no support. They were the only game in town until the mid-70's or later.
