As a runner, I quit buying Nike shoes over a decade ago, they were made to sell, not to run in! The last pair of nike running shoes I bought, I ran in one time, then just used them on the elliptical after that. I first switched to asics, but the last few years I have been buying brooks.
Buying Nike sneakers is kind of stupid. 11% of their revenues goes to endorsements. You spend $100 on their dopey basketball or tennis shoes, and you pay $11 tax directly to lebron james or roger federer. Screw that. Like they don’t make enough from their own sports and driving up the cost of our television bills with networks overpaying for league broadcast rights.
Plus their support for bums like CK. To hell with him and Nike.
I stop buying Nikes or Addidas over a decade ago because they resorted to fashion over function. It's proven that a $200 sneaker doesn't outperform $80 sneakers much. The materials are the same at the sole, it just a bit more fancy upper parts that don't improve performance.
I buy New Balance more but recently realize the new shoes are not as good as older ones. Have to try out some new sneakers.
