With the coronavirus disrupting the China supply chain, this might cause a shortage of Fall/Winter 2020-21 clothing. While Spring/Summer 2020 shouldn't be affected much since much of the ordering and production has already taken place ahead of time, Fall/Winter 2020-21 might be impacted. This might not only impact clothes made in China, but fashion companies will have to move their supply chain to other countries to fill in the void, causing a strain on production in these countries. I hope the coronavirus crisis is over soon and we get a vaccine.

I saw a story on the news advising brides who are getting married in the near future to order their gowns ASAP, especially if going through the budget friendly retailers and designers like David's Bridal because they are mostly manufactured in China, and there will be a sharp drop off in production. Even some of the European designers source their textiles from Asia.

I'm hesitant from ordering anything sourced from China now. That virus started in December and it's now almost March.

That's kind of great, actually. It might be a small wake-up call to remind people that much of their clothes-shopping is unnecessary and frivolous, and get them to see the inter-connectivity where they're not favoring American companies.

I hope so too, because people are getting sick and dying, not because of some clothing shortage. smh.

That's another foolish thing like they said in the 50s when polio or other diseases were the new thing.

You can get sick in the summer when it is 90F out, what are you gonna do?

When the body gets cold when you get the flu, it's a signal to you that you need to move around and generate body heat. That's why you get shivers and you body temps are over 98F you shouldn't be putting on more clothing. You need to keep your head cool or else you can faint even if your body is shivering.
