Same problem here. Always in the same place on my tees.

I've noticed similar things in my cotton bed sheets. I've had sheets last forever, but just two new sets I bought less than a year ago both have holes in the fabric. These were purchased at Costco. I guess we just need to avoid cheap stinky crap from china.

Are these white tees which you are bleaching? They may not be 100% cotton even if labeled that way. The bleach will make holes in any poly threads in fabric.

If you're wearing them tucked in, I would think it's from snagging on your zipper teeth.

I bought a really nice tee shirt from J. Crew that I think I got from Nordstrom Rack - I saw it at J. Crew for an exorbitant price but at Nordstrom Rack it was a fraction of that so I got it. That was a few months ago, and I remember washing it right after I bought it and I put it away till only last week, when I was going through my dresser (organizing) and found it and I wore it, then I noticed a small hole at the shoulder. I wouldn't have bought it if it was there when I inspected it for purchase. I think it is the washer machine that did it, also you think all the zippers, buttons, and other things on clothes could have damaged it, too during the cycles. I think we have to hand wash some tees, some of them are extra soft.

This is probably it. I've been buying these shirts mostly at H&M; I like them because they're very light and comfortable to wear, but it is a tradeoff, I guess. I could buy something thicker but it wouldn't be comfortable in the summer. The American Apparel shirts I used to buy were also very light, but they lasted longer.

I very much doubt it's from moths, because why would they always attack only that one spot on different shirts?

No, these are tees in various colors designed to be worn like regular shirts, out in public.

I wouldn't wear undershirts unless I moved to Alaska or something. Moving from SoCal to Oregon hasn't changed that.

No, it’ the crap quality material. It’s happened to me, too, and only on recently purchased stuff. I have clothes that are much older without this issue. Also, it doesn’t matter what brand or what you pay, new clothing now is crap.

I have a pair of Levi 501s that I wore before my daughter was born. Now she is an adult and I’m still wearing those jeans, no holes.
