Sry....was. I was thinking of my favorites from high school when I wrote the question & skinny jeans paired with pointed flats are still in style.

Way back in the late 60s, knee high boots were in fashion, and they still are. Back then we wore them with “hot pants”. Now, it’s with short skirts. It’s still a good look on thin legs.

I like wearing leggings or tights with short skirts & a clunky shoe.....or platform greek sandals with super short shorts. BUT...I do think ankle boots are super cute & with Bf jeans too.... I love to see how the past inspires the present tho............

I graduated in 1996. I had my own style that was a little grunge, but mostly thrift store, and what I could borrow from my dad's closet.

My favorite look was a baby doll dress with knee high socks, converse sneakers, and a men's flannel on top. My now husband met me when I was 16 and this was my look. I even have a couple pictures of us together when I was rocking this style. He still loves it when I wear knee highs.

For some reason this post reminded me of the fashion from Clueless. Remember when Cher’s closet was unheard of technology.

I still love plaid, so happy it’s back in fashion.

AND then designer labels & doc martens took over & reinvented grunge. Some love it......some hate it....BUT I can totally see why you would hate it today if you lived it back then.

How did I ever forget Keds. Every girl in the eighties sported three things. A jean jacket, white Keds and high hair.
