I try and look for things made in America. If I hear of something I will stop buying it.

I try to do my best to make sure that the apparel I buy is ethically sourced. Does anyone here attempt to do the same as well ? I know it isn’t as easy as it seems, because big apparel has complex supply chains.

I’ve seen children lose their lives in India because some big apparel company decided they could exploit them to make a quick buck . It sometimes surprises me how inhuman some corps can be just to show good profits.

I've started looking at the fabric used to make the clothing. I try to avoid polyester and nylon. I prefer cotton, bamboo, and sustainable fabrics.

Yes, it is an aspirational ideal. And I am trying to gradually find sources that match my style - which is difficult. Some categories there isn't a lot of choice,

The better jewelers have ethically sourced diamonds & certifications.......AND there's LOTS of information about the Kimberley process & responsible mining to verify that. You can track your diamond. Matter of fact all of Tiffany's diamonds are ethically sourced....some other jewelers too so it's not that hard to find if you do your research.

I got a Moissanite engagement and wedding ring, just as hard as diamonds, way cheaper, and no ethical concerns.

Diamonds really aren't rare. That's a myth.
