I can't believe my comment lead to so much discussion. For reference, I am in your target audience age and I keep both BB cream and foundation on hand. I think BB cream is great for everyday casual use but I don't wear makeup on normal days, hence only worn it 2x during the entire pandemic. The few times I do dress my face, I want good coverage because that is what I am in mood for.

Maybe its me, but most BB cream I found to be thicker than I like & I have found medium coverage foundations that are water thin & felt much lighter on my skin than BB cream. I am sure the thickeness comes from moisturizing aspect but it didn't spread easily.

I don’t know if you consider face lotion, sunscreen, and aftershave as makeup, but my routine has not changed at all. Here is a before and after look:

Let me know if you spot any significant difference. Wearing a mask has not changed my routine.

I've had the same experience. I just got the Catrice BB cream this week and tried it. Very thick and felt heavy on my skin. I'm glad it wasn't expensive because I don't think I'll be using it again. The Catrice foundation by contrast is very thin and watery and blends into my skin beautifully.

Naked face here too. Yes, we are told at work to not wear any because we are given N95’s that can be reused and resanitized but only if they aren’t riddled with makeup. I’ve actually found it to be rather freeing because I save time and money by not having to do that every day. I’m still self conscious if I run into others I know outside of work..but at work, I don’t care anymore. They’ve all seen my naked face for months now...

Just thought I'd share a review ... today I got to put on some makeup for a socially distanced lunch outing with a friend. I used the Wet & Wild Photo Focus Foundation with a light dusting of powder to set it ... no transference onto my mask. Only thing that ended up on my mask was my tinted lipbalm, which I expected. Not bad for a $6 foundation!

I'm an "old lady" too - I'll be 50 in March. I've never really worn make up. I buy very light foundations and maybe 3-4 times a year I'll use it if I have a special occassion or something but i can't wait to wash it off my face. All the BB and CC creams I've tried feel too heavy/gloopy. I also can't use anything with oil in it as it causes me to break out (wrinkles and acne - so much fun!!!)
My make-up routine (when I was going into the office daily) consists of a little eye liner.

Personally, I think foundation and powder isn't great for when you get older as it settles into the lines I'm not a dino yet, however, I personally think I look better with a clean and moisturized face instead of putting stuff on. I find my face looks better and breaks out less skipping the foundation/concealer/BB cream. I have tried all. All I wear, if I wear makeup, is a nude eyeshadow, light eyeliner on the top and light mascara.

Thank you for the review. I have heard of this foundation but was hesitant to try because I hate wasting money on make up that does not end up being decent quality. Foundation, bb cream, cc cream - it is all irrelevant to me. I just want something of good quality that looks natural and nice on my skin. I will give this a try!

Miss wearing lipstick! Need the color. I wear eye make up when leaving the house.

Love wearing all kinds of earrings but with a mask, simple studs work best.
