Not in a million years would I wear those heinous things!

Some knitter must have had way too much time in pandemic lockdown.

You bring up a super good point. It's like with any fashion.....some sizes can't pull it off. A size 0-2 is an x small & a size 4 is a small. Lots of styles at boutiques only go up to 8 or 10.

So, what do you think about them & would you wear them?

I don't wear shorts that much anyway & get hot fast, so probably not. But, maybe some longer, more flowy styles on a cool day.
I don't understand them. Sweater shorts? What time of year would these be worn? The first ones in white were my favorites.

I remember when they were in style a couple years ago. They had their run.

Cable knit shorts three sizes bigger than the model are a real seller in the real world.

My grandmother used to tell tales about knitting warm unders worn as over unders for her daughters during WWII. One straight, one pearl, cable. And all five of her daughters a hired those things.

Have fun and count me out.

If I were going to wear them, I'd wear them in the fall. And I'd wear tights underneath the shorts. Then I'd wear boots.

As far as practicality...I don't see it as any different than wearing a dress in the cooler weather. One wouldn't go bare legged when it's 40 degrees or under.

It's really just taken off tho...Vogue did a spread on the "fashion runway trend" in Spring 2020.....shorts, pants, & loungewear in knit. Nanushka had a super cute tula tank top & shorts as part of it.

Ita....if I was going to. BUT...I'd rather wear skirts....more versatile & more girly IMO. I do like the boy short style & midriff tops as loungewear sets tho....specially when I want shorts for summer lounging AND want the cozy & warmth too.

Well, definitely not for me. They look like Pajamas to me. Could be cute I suppose, on the right person. Everything looks better when its the right look for the right person.

As a man, I don’t think it will ever feel comfortable. I can’t explain why, it’s too TMI.
