What's a good Men's jean that's not super designer level but a little more interesting than Levi's? My go-to has been Lucky brand, and I'm happy with them but just looking to try something different.

I tend to go for a straight leg classic fit. Not skinny, not relaxed. Lucky has a nice little stretch to it, so it should have that as well for comfort.

I'm also picky about the back pockets. I despise any kind of funky design. The pockets have to be simple and classic. Price point would need to be under $100. Preferably closer to $50 on sale or at a discount store.

Any recommendations?

Have you looked at Banana Republic? If you catch them on sale they are well below $100.

Lee are cut to fit a grown man with a full set of man bits, if that's important to you.

I particularly like their Traveler line which is extremely soft and comfortable, but still looks good enough (and in a variety of fits) to wear anywhere.

I'm sure this goes without saying, but Banana Factory =/= Banana. The items in the outlet are not the same as what you'll find in the regular Banana store.

*Edit*
I also really like Bonobos which can be had for under $100 on sale (and they have regular sales). Depending on where you are, they have some physical retail locations if you want to try before you buy.

I was stuck on Lucky Jeans as well. They do fit me the best. I do have a couple of pairs of Gap 1969 Kaihara Japanese selvedge jeans, and they are pretty awesome. I also have a pair of Gustin Raw selvedge jeans, and they are great, but fit a bit weird.

These Wranglers don't look all that bad.

I'm getting so old because I remember when jeans were called dungarees, were worn mostly by blue collar guys and cost around $10. :-)

I have found Levi 511s to fit me best, not baggy and front is not bloomy . They have a little stretch in them to make them fit but yet not tight. Have them in both blue and black.

I second the Banana Republic Traveler line. These are soft and a great fit. Also try Joe’s, which I find a wonderful jean. You can find them on sale for less than a C-note, maybe $50-$80 on line or at Nordstrom’s Rack or Saks Off Fifth.

I have no interest in "style" for jeans, I just want a good fit, and comfort. I have always bought mine from Costco. The Kirkland Signature, $13.99.

American Eagle is my choice. Very durable and fit well.
