Any individual can do whatever they want with their bodies, but dont expect men to find it attractive, sexy, nice, or pleasant in any way. In other words - its okay for a WOMAN to not want to shave her armpits; but as a man (speaking for most men) we do not find it to be OKAY if a woman doesnt shave her arm pits.

Most of the women I know have it waxed away at salons and not shaved.

Actually, hausfrau literally means housewife, but it can be used as a mild insult about a woman who is regarded as overly domesticated, it may have been better to say deutsche Frau.

Well I checked my post, and I could see nowhere that I did I say that women DO love waking up to a hairy guy.
Nice try, but no cigar

Don't mind it a bit! I think hair on guys is manly.

Heck, hair on women is manly, too!
I guess it all depends on the image you're shooting for.

And if you don't care about image, then wear that slob flag proudly!

It’s your life and your body.

I personally would never go unshaven. I do think it looks awful. But that’s me. I can’t tell you what every other person thinks.

Agreed. What’s ridiculous is that someone started a thread to ask this question. Why shouldn’t women go unshaven if they want? Why does anyone male or female get to dictate their choices? Why are some men aghast at the very thought while rocking a pelt of back hair and a Grizzly Adams beard? Why is their hairiness acceptable? Clearly social norms are the reason, but they’re norms and nothing more and norms change all the time. People should do what they want, ignore the opinions of others and stop looking to C-D for affirmation.

Used to be a "European thing" and rocker Patti Smith created a stir with the cover photo on her 1978 album Easter. But I'm seeing more and more American women sporting underarm hair in the media.

It will become a class/status marker for women in America to not shave their underarms. Peer pressure.

Funny that it's the fad to shave everywhere else but not the underarms. Times they do change, and I hope they change back (at least the underarm part).

It's your body, do whatever the heck you want. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

You can do whatever you want but I find that my armpit odor is worse when the air grows in.
