At 67 years young, I have never been shaved by anyone else. That would seem awkward to me.

Since Covid-19 I now cut my own hair as well. I used to pay $15 including tip for a haircut.

Just moved to a new area (NE Ohio) and badly needed a haircut and beard trim.

Cost was shockingly low at $20+tip (i left 10)

I've cut my own hair for many years. It's more convenient and it's free.

My wife cuts my hair and I trim my beard, so it costs me nothing.

$25-30 including tip. Barber charges $18. I've never paid anyone to shave for me. That just seems weird. With the pandemic I've been doing my own haircuts and keep my beard trimmed.
Never had a beard before but it's simple enough, although I have a short beard. Longer bear styles might be harder if you're not going for the mountain man look. Let's just say the barber does a better job on the haircuts. I can do a passable hack it off job with some clippers but it's pretty rough.

2 bits: shave and a haircut.

Down here it's between $2 and $5 for a haircut. DH shaves himself.
