Because the importend thing to wear clothing is to keep us warm, so why have clothing a gender?
Nope. Men would look kinda funny in a skirt and blouse.

Agree. I don't want to have to walk around displays of dresses in the men's section. Also, men and women have different bodies and need different cut of clothes to fit right. If either wants to wear something made for the opposite sex they can but they will not look right most of the time.

We are all free to wear whatever kind of clothing we want. Manufacturers/designers should continue to make clothing to fit the body it's going on, and like any other product, suggest for whom it was made.

And also in a toga, but once it was normal, and nobody thought it looked odd. It's just a question of what we're used to seeing.

It's a shame we can't have a real conversation about it here, instead people are already coming in with pointless and/or political commentary.
Well if women had to fight to be accepted wearing pants, men should fight to wear a dress if they want. As far as I know there is no law against it. If you can’t stand the heat….stay out of the kitchen.

Tho ppl still choose what that they wear....so if you want to wear something that doesn’t match your gender....do. IMO clothing & fashion is fun too...so you may think it is just to keep you warm but what about bras & lingerie? Why would we have a no gender bra?

edit: my underwear has a totally different function than my husband’s boxer briefs.

No, I think she meant spandex, referring to the 80s rockers. Latex isn't particularly masculine or feminine ... just fetishy. But there was lots of spandex use among both genders in the 80s.
