Watching the Bachelorette last night (don't ask) and I noticed three of the dudes were wearing high-water dress slacks, two with no socks and one with gaudy striped socks.

Obviously these are young, hip guys who pay attention to being fashionable, but when did that start?

It's been quite a while. Hipsters were doing it back when they were a thing.

I don't watch that show (no interest at all in that type of show) - people I know wear regular clothing

Tho cropped pants at the ankle has been a thing for awhile...no socks, leather loafers or sneakers. BUT the problem IMO is that they are going too cropped....too much mankle. The socks thing is old too. What I don’t like tho is when men wear their jacket too tight...like it’s their little brother’s. Be manly & fashionably tailored in the right size...not too baggy or tight.

It will not happen here. Boots require socks and even John Wayne cropped pants do not look like SO borrowed pants.

I thought we stopped declaring people losers by virtue of their clothing choices back in junior high?

Some of the things I read about on the fashion forum scare me, lol. Like....really?? I'm glad I don't have a TV. This sounds like something I might run into on my next trip to the coast, though. I'll brace myself.
