Love the boots in this video. I really wish I could afford a best quality equestrian boot but it's a luxury item that I don't need in my mild climate. Love the look, though.
Which boots do you like or need now? Any place that has bargains we may not know about?
I have about 25 pairs of boots, boots for the snow, dress boots made from leather, high boots, low boots (dressy and for snow), mid-calf boots, black boots, brown boots, even a pair of blue suede boots. I live in a cold climate. I do see some ladies wearing boots in the summer, but I think that's a bit much. I like to take a break for about 3-4 months of the year.
I love boots too...especially, good quality leather ones! I have about 10-15 pairs. I'm gradually outgrowing my apt & need more space in general, so I store them where I can: On a shoe rack in the front closet, in their original show boxes stacked up, along this little bench at my front door.
I haven't bought any footwear in quite a long time because I haven't really needed to & I haven't even browsed my favorite shoe sites in a long time either, so I don't even know what's out there these days.
But, I personally like many styles of these brands:
Living in Texas, most of my boots (and I have a lot of them) are booties, aka ankle boots. I do have one pair of boots that are truly made for very cold weather. I love booties. I wear them from about November through March.
I have a lot of boots and I'm always looking for more. And they're good boots... I don't care much for cheap boots as they just look cheap to me. I wear with dresses, skirts, slacks, jeans. Most often tho you'll see me trudging around the yard while working outside in my llbean duck boots with muddy jeans and a t or flannel. My usual at home look, lol. I don't like large block heels tho.. My step is off when I try to walk in them (the way the foot 'rocks' when I step, stops). They do not hit the floor correctly as I walk and I end up with a tired ankle because it doesn't bend like it should when I step so I won't buy any boots with a large block heel.
Oh. and I have shelves in my closet they stand on and I use pool noodles in them to keep them upright and from having excessive folding around the ankle.
I love boots, but have foot problems and live in a mild climate, so it's better to stick with shoes I know work for me.
I do own a pair of snow boots; have worn them twice, when we got a sprinkling of snow.
My all-time FAVORITE footwear was a pair of beige suede boots that could be pulled up over my knees or shoved down. 4" stacked leather heels. I had those boots for over 20 years, gave them away when I moved to Hawaii, where the suede would have rotted.
Pool noodles work well to keep boots standing up straight.
I use those as well as rolled up magazines.
