There is a lot of useful info in French stylist Marie-Anne Lecoeur's channel. Why certain items work well together and others don't, which often has nothing to do with trends. I usually get more value from watching her videos than other fashion channels.

Here she offers creative ways of styling a black turtleneck (did you know fishermen invented it?) that you may not have thought of. Some basics, of course, like wearing with different blazers, but also with shirts, dresses, scarves, coats. You wind up with many looks from fewer pieces.

Some people need to be taught how to wear a jacket with a turtleneck?

OP isn't a fan of naked necks, apparently. First scarves, now turtlenecks. LOL

Turtlenecks are great in Winter!! I like them better than a scarf.

I wonder if there is some guideline what NOT to wear with turtleneck, because I think one can wear it with just about anything. Oh, maybe not with a bikini, but that's common sense

Darn, I was wrong!!!

I don't like getting sore throats when my long neck is exposed in cold weather.

Scarves are also cheaper than jewelry when it comes to accessories.

Look around. Some people have to be taught not to wear pajamas in public

Ever since "THE CHANGE" I got rid of all my turtlenecks. Too hot, and not easily removed like a cardigan.

Interesting. I don't think I've ever gotten a sore throat from my neck being exposed. Not doubting you. Just not a consideration I've ever had.

I really like turtlenecks, but it's not really cold enough in my area to wear them. I try to the little bit that I can though. I have a good amount of them. I especially like the loose, chunky knit type & funnel neck sweaters.
