Yep, love the skorts that are a short skirt concealing a short below. Best to avoid the skirt in front/shorts from behind versions unless for athletic wear,I think. Like the spork(spoon/fork), the skort is a brilliant invention for gals of all ages. All three of mine have one. Handy on the the monkey bars or bending over your toddler. They are out of favor because they promote modesty, which is becoming uncool. I think they are cute!!!

I know these as "culottes". Anything short looks great if you've got the legs and the figure!

Otherwise, please don't.

You don't have to look. I wear what I'm comfortable in and what I think looks good, and to hell with what anyone else thinks.

I am confused as to what everyone means by a skort. Mine look like I am wearing a short skirt (mid to lower thigh about 3" above knee). No one would ever know it was a skort unless they bent over and looked up the skirt part They are just as flattering as any skirt. Easier to wear because you don't have to worry about getting in and out of your car with the chance of showing everyone your name and address

A skort has a flap of fabric on the front. It looks like a wrap skirt from the front, but shorts from the back. A golf skirt looks like a skirt from all sides, but has built in shorts underneath.

Oh. Then I guess I have a large selection of Golf Skirts. I never saw skorts that looked like a skirt from the front and shorts from the back....

Geesh, I'm off my mark today.

Let me put it....well, blunt....but still "tasteful"
I am a "sporty" girl in many ways...tomboy, if you will.
Don't get me wrong....I am feminine....to a point.
I do like dresses and skirts.....HOWEVER.....
sometimes, I like to sit there with SPREAD legs....LOL.....and with a skirt, it's an ABSOLUT "no- no". (For obvious reasons, I might add....oooopppppssss.)
But, with skorts I can get away with it.
So, that explains why I like them so much...because I can get away with the "no- no's" and still be comfortable, feminine, and stylish...AND covered up.......LOL.

I believe the definition of a skort is any shorts to resemble a skirt.

I have a few pair that look like a skirt from the front, but like wearing shorts from the back.

I also have (which I love more) skorts that look like a skirt all around with shorts built in under.

I feel a little more secure wearing a mini skirt (skort). Plus, with the right shirt, they can look a dressy too.

Skorts???

Should never be worn by anyone older than a 5th grader. Seriously, my 6th grader would feel like they're too childish looking!!!!
