No. I think they make even the nicest tush look, uh, wide and flabby. Ditto for thighs. Then they either end lumpily just above the knee or just below, making the calves look heavy. Just not a flattering style on anyone. They may seem like a nice compromise between a skirt/shorts/capris, but like the platypus which seems like a sensible compromise between a duck a beaver and a woodchuck, it just doesn't work.

I havent seen skorts since I was about seven years old. I had no idea they still made them. Where are you located?

I've got several skorts that are really flattering and super comfortable. Though, none of them go even close to the knee. All of mine end mid-thigh (if that). I've never seen a long skort like the ones mentioned above.

Personally, I love skorts because: they look cute, they fit nice, and I can run around in them without worry.

Skorts?
They are awesome, super comfortable, and give you the feminine "look" with the comfort and "security" of shorts.
I love them, and have 3 in different colors (white, black and khaki).
I am not sure, if they are considered "in" again, but, I noticed you will find them at any major department store and in the catalogues.
I've never noticed them in a "long style"....mine are more mid thigh area, where shorts or skirts I wear usually end.

I can't say that skorts are something I'm looking to revisit. I haven't seen any that have been updated trendwise.

I'm about 300 miles north-west of you, in Buffalo.

I have 2 different denim, an olive green color, and bought a navy color & brown pairs at jcpenny's on sale for $12 each. (I don't know that's "advertizing")

I have a few and I like them, but I actually find I prefer a golf skirt. Golf skirt has the complete look of a skirt, but with the comfort of shorts.

I love them. They're incredibly comfortable, dressier than shorts, and are very versatile. I can comfortably wear them to work -- look just like a short skirt. Wish I had more.
