I'm short - only about 5 feet tall. I have a few extra pounds and usually wear a size 8. I'm also have a large chest and am 51 years old. The style of clothes on sites like BloomChic look best on me. They have flattering cuts for mature folks with a few extra pounds, are stylish, and don't cause issues with things being too low cut or not working with a larger chest. BTW, I tried ordering something from BloomChic in their smallest size (size 10), and it was way too big.

The problem is that because I'm also short, I don't fall into what is considered plus size. So I can't seem to find anything in similar styles in my size. Does anyone have any suggestions of stores that have similar styles but in more size options?

Thanks!

I've checked both with no luck.

I am looking for a dress for a specific event. I absolutely LOVE this dress from BloomChic, but it was way too big. I can find a million similar dresses online, and I've ordered and returned about 6 of them already. And every, single one of them was way too low cut on me - like wouldn't even be able to wear a bra. None of them were that low cut on the model. I am totally OK with having a dress altered, but the v-neck can't really be altered to make it higher (I've asked).

Sounds like separates are your friends. Have you tried looking on www.temu.com ? Just for the heck of it, I looked up a pair of their jeans, and the jeans start at small, size 4 up to size 14. (I just looked up one style, one pair of jeans) But they also have plus size tops. And they also have lots of dresses.

Here's one on Temu that looks almost exactly like the dress you like on Bloomchic

Could you pin it, or maybe just put a stitch or two in, so it wouldn't gap open?

If it is a wrap style, then yes. Otherwise, no.

I love that dress, but it's Plus Size. But I'll look around Temu some more. Thanks!

How about wearing a camisole under the dress?

Yeah. I don't voluntarily buy any button-up shirts, but had to wear one for work. The buttons wouldn't meet of course, so I had a camisole under and left the top few buttons open. Much more comfortable and looked better.

Fashion is a real struggle for the top-heavy among us. It's made me loathe shopping.
