Forget leisure suits...

I want me a classic striped seersucker zoot suit!

Possibly. That's when Bill Gates & company were just getting started. I'm sure there's some pictures floating around of them in their polyester bell bottom glory. But were they scoring babes in their swanky suits? Unlikely!

The then young soldiers of WWII were just coming to their 50s and executive leadership and back during the 40s their office dress uniforms were supplemented with items like the Ike jacket instead of the full suit.

Gawd I hope not.

Someone mentioned a Puka Shell necklace upthread. My husband and I bought a matching set of puka shell chokers on our honeymoon in Florida. 1977.

We thought we were so cool!

The "Look I can still fit into my Bar Mitzvah suit!" look has been a thing for quite a few years now.

It looks particularly awful on heavy people. I saw that on a decorating show.

Shortly after I retired in September 2022, I donated my suits to Purple Heart. I'm not sure what they're going to do with it. I don't see anyone wearing suits anymore, even at weddings and funerals. I kept many of my ties though, because I'm just not ready to give them away.
