This is not an attack on you at all, but I've always found it interesting that some people follow trends or new fashions. I've never paid attention to that at all and just wear what I like, or whatever colors suit me, whether it's the style or not.
But with that said...I love the change from summer into fall. I have several pairs of knee high boots that don't come out until the season changes. Same for jackets and coats that I haven't worn since last April. Fall is my favorite season.
My change from summer to fall is getting long sleeved Life Is Good shirts instead of short sleeved ones, and heavier pants from L.L. Bean. I might change my shoes to leather ones, but generally I wear my Skechers all year round unless it snows. I have one pair of snow boots that work unless the snow is over my knees. Obviously not a fashion maven.
People here probably know how eclectic I am. Never know what I'll turn up in. I think it's more about feelings than fashion. My feelings on any given day really influence what I wear. Got a lot of feelings, I guess!
The outfit I was referring to on the front page was this one:

That warm brown is really cozy-looking. I'm loving all the luscious colors and fabrics in the RL collection.

LOVE this look. Not that I have anywhere I could wear it...but lovely. It's a good brown.
I love boho looks for fall. Slouchy, luxurious looking fabrics, boots, fringe and the hat....but I never really have much occasion to dress like this here in the rural NE. But some of these pictures are inspiring and I do have flare jeans, a bitchin' fringe bag, boots and a Yellowstone type Stetson I got in TX, so I'm gonna work on it.

I love it too! When my hair was blonde I loved wearing the color brown. When I worked in the San Francisco Financial District I used to wear things just like this during winter. (Or the "Mark Twain summers in San Francisco". )

EDIT for a P.S. I have always loved fashion but have never really dressed to reflect that. why is that?
Hello! Look at the echos of the Seventies!
Yeah, slouchy. Couldn't come up with any other name for that brown outfit. It just suggests being comfortable.
I lived in NE for five years and at that time thought it wasn't well-received to stray too far from role-appropriate clothing. In fact on one occasion, I was told so. Hah. Very conservative.
I took time to look through some of the other runway names and really saw some genuinely unpleasant things but I too was interested in RL's mix and match browns.
Think all I have at present is a pair of brown corduroy pants. They're nice and warm.

I love those!
I can't stand to look at runway stuff. It's all so strange, unrealistic, impractical and downright idiotic in some cases! I'm the same, I don't dress for fashion, never have. I'm rebellious that way. Only time I ever dressed job appropriate was when I worked in the San Francisco Financial District. There were shops downstairs in all the Embarcadero Centers. Very convenient and impossible to avoid.
