Hi,
I just bought 2 pair of Levis from Kohls.com ( 501 and 515) but I think they look fake. The tags on them are red with the (r) but not the text "levis" as there normally is on Levis jeans.

I'm new in this country, where I come from the red tag always says Levis.

Does anyone here know if the jeans are okay or they are fake ? I bought other jeans from them but they have the normal tag.

Thanks

Well I can't imagine Kohls selling fakes. I'm pretty sure the little tag always says Levis but maybe it's changed, I haven't noticed. I have a few pair that I bought over the winter and didn't notice anything different?
But I really wouldn't thing they'd be fake coming from Kohls.

Do some research on Google or the Levi's homepage, it might say that they've changed the tags.

Thanks- I have tried to google it but with not result.
I just talked to my dad, he bought 2 pair of Levis 501 in a Levis store last week when he was here to visit us, one of them had the normal tag and the other pair had the tag without the text Levis- so I guess they should be okay. If Levis stores sell jeans with that kind og tag, it should be ok.

They're fine--and if they fit and look good, who cares? And who would even notice!
Different styles have different tags!

They have two lines of jeans from what I understand. One line is called the "signature" line, which is a lower-cost alternative to their regular product line. They may tag them differently? Just a guess.

It's hard to tell, I have a lot of Levi jeans for women and all the tags look different! I think it depends on the style of Levi's.

Sometimes you can find that "fakes" type info on ebay.

Kohl's is a reputable store and would not sell knock-offs. As others suggested, you bought a different line of Levi's (a more cost-savings one) and therefore they are labeled differently.

Not all Levi's have the R on the red tab. It's odd and I don't know the exact number but they will randomly select pairs and not put the R but rest assured if you bought them at Kohls they are legitimate. You have to be careful b/c there are so many imitations out there especially with the Shrink To Fit jeans. Been shopping with this company for years and they have a nice selection and styles and colors you won't find at other stores. www.bargainsavenue.com they have a coupon code "online" which can be used for $10 discount on all orders over $100.

They also carry Dickies, Ben Davis, and Wrangler proudcts
