When you are out of your 20's-early 30's, it's time to shop somewhere beside Juniors! I wear a size 0-2, which is hard to find in our town, but Junior cuts just don't fit correctly. There are a few stores that carry the smaller sizes, like Ann Taylor/Loft, Dillards, etc....
You can look stunning and youthful without shopping in the kids dept!

I voted "never" as "Junior" is also a certain body shape as opposed to "Womens". I believe the difference is in the waist area, or so I was told.

If you feel an item is too "young looking" for you, don't buy it. Lots of teens discriminate too, when it comes to what they want to wear (i.e. too slutty). And don't let the sales staff intimidate you, as they did to an older co-worker of mine who went shopping with me on our lunch break. The sales lady grabbed my co-worker by the hand and said "let me show you something over there...", and dragged her to the Woman's section. I was angry for my co-worker, but she was too polite to decline.

ok,I'm 52 and size 0.I can fit in juniors but just can't go there! There is just something not right about me trying to pull off those styles even if they fit! Up until a few years ago I've been know to buy some girls 14-16 size shirts. There are some cute styles.I still buy boys L shorts for running because they're cheaper then womens. But real clothes,no.

I think it depends on the item. Juniors can carry a lot of cute items older women (cough I am one of them) can definitey wear.

When your boobs are too big? I bought a sweatshirt that looked huge in Aeropostale a few weeks ago. Turns out my boobs are too big for it. To my defense, until I read this thread I didn't realize it was a store for juniors. I thought was for everyone.

I don't know how they are now, but it used to be that Juniors were cut with a "short" waistline. I never wore them because I was very long waisted. I had to go straight from children's to misses. There are a lot of good looking Junior clothes. But if they don't fit correctly, they don't look good.

Now, if you mean At What age should women stop shopping in CUTESY juniors, that's another matter. Some females never look good trying to be cute after they get too big for small children's clothes.. Other's carry it off for years and years. Jeans and slacks are the same. So are tailored blouses, and tee shirts. Too tight is too tight regardless of age.

Buy what fits and you like.
Life's too short to worry about what other people think about your clothes.
