lol..interesting topic! I am 32 and stopped shopping in Juniors when I was maybe 23. I feel juniors is too trendy and I prefer sticking with classic looks and colors that are still form fitting and modern. I still can manage to work sexy and hip in my wardrobe, esp with cool accessories and I'm also a makeup lover ( people still think I am in my 20's so I am flattered). I see all types of women in the juniors dept, except big girls. I just feel juniors is too trendy and I do feel silly to step foot in it. I just mostly see size 0-2 girls in there ( and they might be 40, who knows).

teens make fun of women over 30 that still shop at FOREVER 21

I think over 25 is TOO OLD to wear junior style clothing, if your over 25 you need to dress your age, your not in middle school or high school anymore.

it looks just as silly as a 40 year old man wearing baggy pants hanging down like a rapper / hip hop style

Can't say I've ever shopped in that store, but frankly, caring about what a teen thinks of me....not on my list of worries.

I shop where I can get clothes that fit and that I like.

Considering the treand at many stores (at least in my area) towards thinking that everyone over 21 is fat, many thin women have to shop in the junior section just to get clothes that fit.

Plus the "adult" sections have just as much gawdy, trendy crap as the junior sections do, sometimes more.

I find the attitudes of some people amazing. They think once a person hits whatever age is in their passport, that means they must now start acting a certain way whether they want to or not.

Of course my attitude is biased as I live in an area where women wear x-large tshirts no matter what, baggy pants and I think the onyl shoes they own are beach sandals or some gawdy sport shoes.

At what age should women stop shopping in juniors?

-- If their body shapes change.

-- If their tastes in clothes change.

-- If they believe that life should be lived according to what other people say and think.

I just wonder if the anti-juniors actually really looked at more than one place.

I never bought the kiddie stuff when I was a kiddie. "Adult" clothing...It seriously looks stupid on me. Like I raided mom's closet. Why would I dress like Im 40 or more when I dont even look 21?

Thats ok. We women over 30 make fun of the teens who try and squeeze their size 14 butts into size two jeans and a size small top that shows off their muffin tops.

For the record, I have never even been in a Forever 21 but I do have to shop the jr's section at most department stores. I am in no way trying to look younger, it's just like others have said, sometimes that is the only section to find my sizes.

Forever 21 is super trendy. But they also carry cheap fun jewelry and cheap basics to layer with.

You can look them up online.

I had never even heard of that store until a few weeks ago when we were in south Denver at a mall. If I hadn't been with my 14 year old son, I would have popped in. There were quite a few women in there over 21 from what I saw
