I wear them pretty much every day at work b/c I hate my roly poly pot belly and one of the health benefits of wearing them, so I've heard, is that if you're losing weight the compression part keeps you from developing as much loose skin b/c it holds it to your body where it can "reglue" itself. There goes another weight loss excuse lol. I don't know if any studies have ever confirmed this though or if it's just someone's pet theory.
They're okay for a quick fix, I suppose, but don't be foolish and think you're going to look as good with shapewear as if you diligently diet and exercise. Toned, exercised curves on a correctly nourished body have an allure all their own.

You can be super "fit" and still have areas that aren't as smooth as you would like.
But that's not the same as putting shapewear on a flabby body. How cheap, poorly fitted shapewear looks on an overweight flabby body IS shameful.
How does it hurt you if I want to put on some shapewear?
